Pulverizing Systems
On selection of Size Reduction Equipments, the pulverizing systems is to be selected depending upon application material, its physical properties, capacity, fineness requirement etc.
The Pulverizing System consists of
a) Feeders / feed conveyors for feeding to mill,
b) Size Reduction Equipment,
c) Collection System (Batch Collection System & Continuous Collection System),
d) Conveying System (Pneumatic Conveying System / Gravity Collection System)
e) Dust Collector (Open Type Dust Collector / Pulse Jet Dust Collector)
f) Rotary Air Lock Valve
The systems are basically Batch Type and Continuous Type
- For small capacity from 25 Kgs. / Hr. to 200 Kgs. / Hr., BHBBatch Type system is suitable.
- For larger capacity of more than 200 Kgs. / Hr., Continuous Type system is suitable.
Continous Type Systems are further classified as under :
- Single Stage Grinding
- Two Stage Grinding
- Three Stage Grinding
Number of stages of grinding depends on Application Material and its Properties.

2 Stage Grinding System
Available in Batch Type Collection System & Continuous Type Collection System
A) Batch Type Collection System : In this system the equipments will be of Batch Type Stand Alone Equipments where feeding will be from top and collection will be at bottom. Both feeding and collection will have to be done manually independently. When the drum is filled up, equipment will have to stop, replace the drum by another empty drum and then equipment to re-start and so on. That is why this system is known as Batch Type System.
B) Continuous Collection System : In this system feeding and powder collection are done on continuous basis uninterruptedly.

· Here feeding is from top and collection at bottom - Manually.
